Babs the Brain

Giant inflatable brain with a tunnel in the middle.
Why is she called Babs?

Our giant walk‑through brain is named after Dame Barbara Windsor, or “Babs” for short, in honour of her courageous decision to go public with her Alzheimer’s diagnosis and the powerful legacy she left for dementia awareness.

We hope that, just like Barbara did, Babs will help open up conversations, raise awareness about brain health and dementia prevention, and inspire everyone, at any age, to think about how to care for their brain for life.

Meet Babs the Brain!

The Big Brain Tour is coming to a town near you in partnership with Scotmid. Bringing fun, learning, and a whole host of brain-boosting activities for everyone to enjoy.

On the day, there will be hands-on games, interactive challenges, and other exciting activities designed to help you explore how your brain works, all in a fun, family-friendly way.

At the heart of the tour is Babs the Brain, a giant inflatable brain that lets visitors step inside and discover how different parts of the brain work.
